Mappool
in preparation…
About the Seed Tournament
- The seed tournament will be played in a one-shot multiplayer format, using the mappool for the seed tournament, just as in the main tournament.
- Seeding rights are awarded in order of the highest total score for each score in the mappool.
- The number of teams that qualify for seeding will depend on the number of participants. Please understand beforehand.
- Scores can be registered at any time during the seed tournament, so each participant can choose a convenient time to participate.
(Once you has participated and registered your score, you will not be allowed to participate again in subsequent slots.)
- The results of the seed tournament and the seeded players will be announced at a later date.
- Participation in the seed tournament is not mandatory, but it would be helpful if you could attend to check the flow of the game.
- If the number of participants exceeds 32, this mappool will be used to determine the 32 players who will participate in the main tournament.
In this case, everyone must participate in the seed tournament. Please understand beforehand (details will be announced on Discord at a later date).

Outline
Malody Taiko World Cup 2022 is a competition of Malody Taiko players from all over the world.
This year will be held as an individual. We look forward to your participation!
As a result, the flow of the tournament may differ slightly from the previous one.
P.S.
As for the dates, we will tally the available days and times for each player to participate after the application period has ended.
From the "Assortment of Players" -> "Aggregate Result", schedule the day and time when both parties have a good schedule together.
Flow of the Tournament
Format, score related
※The flow of the event is described for 32 participants. It may be subject to change if the number of participants is small.
- Players will be divided into 8 groups of 4 players per group for group leagues.
- The top two in each group will advance to a two-loss tournament.
- In a two-loss tournament, once a player is defeated, he or she moves to the Loser's Tournament, where further losses will result in disqualification.
- When both players reach a match point in each round (ex. 3-3 in group league), the tie-break chart prepared for each round is automatically selected.
- The conditions for winning each round are as follows.
Group League | Round of 16 | Quarterfinal | Semifinal | Final | Grand Final |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
4 | 4 | 5 | 5 | 6 | 7 |
Groundwork
- Mappool is prepared for each round, and players throw songs at each other from it, with one point awarded to the player with the highest score.
- Mappool will be announced prior to the scheduled date of each round. Players will be able to download the published mappool and practice on their own.
- Each player must choose a Banned (BAN)1 map for each match; once a chart is chosen as a BAN map, neither player can choose it during the match.
Notes on Playing
- Player must be fixed to HS0 and Judge-E.
- To ensure fairness in judging both PC and mobile versions, mods other than Fair that apply the mobile version's judging width should not be used.
- Each player must assemble in the multi-room created by the referee no later than 5 minutes before the designated time.
- At the designated time, players in each room execute the Roll command (type "$roll" in room chat) to determine the BAN map, starting with the player with thehighest number**.
- Before the game you are free to choose a warm-up chart. The warm-up chart can be chosen from Alpha or Stable. However, it is not required, only if you need warming up.
- When selecting chart, each player declare one chart of your choice in the room chat. The referee will select it as soon as you confirms it. However, no player can choose tie-break chart as your own choice.
- Once a chart is selected, you cannot select it again during the same match.
Others
- Scores and replays will be tallied using Discord.
- We will ask for Discord screen sharing and distribution on various distribution sites to enhance the tournament and prove HS0. If this is not possible, we will try our best.
