Short Description
- Malody's MM point is an algorithm based on performance that accurately measures a player's skill level. It is parallel to the traditional experience level system and does not affect it.
Calculation Method
- The MM value is calculated as follows:
- 1. After playing a stable chart and uploading a valid score, the completion percentage S of the score is calculated.
S = Score / (2400 * best&cool&good&miss)
- 2. The level value L for the corresponding chart is calculated.
- 3. The accuracy reward is calculated. When accuracy is greater than 99.6%, up to 0.05 bonus points are awarded.
- 4. The final MM value is calculated.
MM = ((S+A) * L - 1) * 60
- 5. For Key modes, the sum of the top 100 MM scores is taken as the player's total MM value in Key modes.
FAQ
- 1. I don't understand this formula. Can you explain it in simple terms?
A: Play a stable chart with E judgment, and the higher the difficulty of the chart, the higher the MM point. However, only the top 100 MM scores are taken into account, so farming the same chart repeatedly will not yield any benefits.
- 2. These level values look strange. Is there any scientific basis for them?
A: We have analyzed the millions of scores uploaded by players over the past three years and calculated the fitting values, which can better reflect the relationship between player ability and chart difficulty.
- 3. Why take the top 100, instead of 99 or 101?
A: Please hold your nitpicking for a moment. You have a point, but we decided to take the top 100.
- 4. How are charts with levels greater than 30 calculated?
A: There are corresponding value for those charts as well, but they are not listed here due to space limitations. However, rest assured that even for Lv. 100 charts, there are values, so the only concern is whether you can actually clear the chart.
- 5. The level is set by humans, what if it is set incorrectly?
A: It's not a big deal. If the level is changed, all players who have played the chart will have their MM points recalculated. We believe that the calibration of stable charts has been carefully considered, so the deviation should not be significant.
