Competition introduction:

Malody Key Team Cup 2025(4K) (formerly known as World Cup MKWC) is a team tournament between Malody 4K players from around the world, both Malody and Malody V clients can participate.

The way of the game is to play the map in the multiplayer game room. In each game, win by comparing the team's total score, two players will be on the court to compare the team's total score in each game. Players can use the Flip Mod during the game according to their own situation, but due to client limitations, it is only available to Malody V users.

Competition registration:

Registration Entrance

Players willing to participate in this competition can register through the webpage above, and all players can sign up. Each team has a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 players.

Registration time: 2025.3.23-2025.6.23 Everyone can sign up at most twice, please fill in carefully.

Multi-account is not allowed

Each team must have a team name, language is not limited but less than ten words

Each registered player will be checked and verified by the tournament manager and will be included in the national candidate list.

As we have planned, there will be 32 teams in the competition. If the number of registered teams is less than 32, we will reduce it to 24 or 16.

Registration restriction:

1.Each team may have at most one Standard T??? player. (13wiz, FoaMelt1, and birdfly cannot be in the same team.)

2.Each team may include only one former MKTC MVP player (Murasame, cheewee10, Ekoplon5, Leaves_, FoaMelt1, WOEM2436)

3.Each team may have no more than two Extra-9 Dan or higher players.

Multiplayer Room Instructions:

A referee will create a multiplayer room 10 minutes in advance. Players must gather during this period.

Room name must be "MKTC4K 2025: (xx) vs(xx)

Each team is free to select up to one warm-up map. All maps must be Malody online map(Stable/Alpha map).

The two contestants from different teams roll the point(send "$roll" in the chat room), according to the roll points to determine the winner and loser, and then carry out Protect/Ban/Pick, the order is: loser PROETCT (1 map) - Winner PROETCT (1 map) - Winner BAN (1 map) - Loser BAN (1 map) - Winner PICK the first map and the game begins.

Mappool Instructions:

The mappool of each round will be released in Malody Shop, No more use of Osu! integration package

One week before the official competition, you can download mappool maps in Malody Shop

There will be six mappools, Group Stage, Round of 16, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, Finals, and Grand Finals.

The Group Stage mappool will consist of 7maps, Round of 16 will consist of 9 maps, Quarterfinals will consist of 11 maps, Semifinals will consist of 13 maps, Finals will consist of 15 maps, Grand Finals will consist of 17 maps. (Final and Grand Final's Mappool have two more maps to choose.)

The maps' difficulty increases step by step from Lv.22 to Lv.45 map in the Team Cup mappool will not be more difficult than Lv.41

Competition process:

Players in each team must fill in the free time questionnaire, join the multiplayer game room at a specified time.

Preliminary instructions

In the first stage (Group preliminary), the teams will be divided into 8 groups of 4 teams, all the teams from each group will face each other(Compare the number of winning games. If the number of winning games is the same, compare the number of winning maps)and the top 2 teams of each group will move on to the Double Elimination Stages.

Double Elimination Stages instructions:

The following stages are Double Elimination Stages. This means that the winner moves to the next stage and the losing team gets moved to the Loser bracket.

Competition process:

Thirty-two teams will be divided into eight groups, each with four teams.

The winning conditions at each stage are:

In the Group Stage, your team needs to win 3 maps to win a match. (Best-of-5)

In the Round of 16, your team needs to win 4 maps to win a match. (Best-of-7)

In the Quarterfinals, your team needs to win 5 maps to win a match. (Best-of-9)

In the Semi-Finals, your team needs to win 6 maps to win a match. (Best-of-11)

In the Final, your team needs to win 6 maps to win a match. (Best-of-11)

In the Grand finals, your team needs to win 7 maps to win a match. (Best-of-13)

For the group tournament, the scoring system is adopted, and the two teams with high net scores are out of the tournament and enter the double-defeat elimination tournament.

P.S. If only 16 teams sign up, the group stage will be cancelled and the elimination of double-defeat competition will be directly entered.

Reschedules will only be considered if both teams agree to a time at least 24 hours before the first match in that particular stage.

Points of special attention:

1. If a player falls off the line, the map score is invalid. Each player can retry at most once in each game, and the map is negative when the second time occurs. If both players drop the line, the map will be retried.

2. The map that has been played cannot be reused in the same game.

3. If one side does not arrive at the start of the game, the start time of the game may be delayed by up to 10 minutes. If there is a shortage of players in the middle of the game, it will be 5 minutes overdue at most.

4. TB map cannot be selected in advance

5. If an individual player causes the match to be postponed too many times, it will be banned.

6. If there is no match manager or referee, the match will be postponed.

7. It is strictly forbidden to select inappropriate hot-hand drawings, insult and infuriate other players or referees, delay the game, or do other deliberate misconduct.

8. In the event of other accidents, the referee will be as tolerant as possible to deal with the accident.

9. All contestants and referees should be respected. Contestants shall follow the instructions of the referee and the management of the event.

Competition prizes:

Champion: $25 gift card + champion exclusive achievement + 10k Gold coins.

Runner-up: $15 gift card + runner-up banner + 10k Gold coins.

3rd Place: $5 gift card + third place banner & 10k Gold coins.

The top 4-8 teams will receive 5K gold coins + Achievements & limited puzzles.

The rest of the players will receive 2K gold coins & Achievement & a limited puzzle. (The top three players also have achievements & puzzles.)
